I continue to gain weight and yet I think I eat pretty healthy and exercise regularly

Sometimes there can be other things in your life impacting your health and impacting on your weight. These can include factors such as sleeping habits, stress, alcohol consumption, injury, illness, eating times, food types and amounts. It is a good idea to have a proper assessment by an accredited practising qualified dietitian so all areas can be considered, not just eating and exercise.

Which diet is best for me to lose weight?

The answer to this question is that there is no one diet to lose weight.  All individuals have their own food preferences, activity levels, different medical and surgical histories, varying work patterns and stress levels, financial or time constraints.  Hence an assessment will help identify strategies to assist with weight management in line with your health goals.

I would like to lose weight but my blood glucose levels keep going all over the place

Do you support the use of medications as a tool to assist with weight loss?

If you have a prescription and are on a medication to assist with weight loss a dietitian/diabetes educator can assist you in managing your weight goals.

I have noticed that since going through menopause I have gained weight with no changes to my usual lifestyle habits. Can you assist with this?

I haven’t been able to lose weight to commence IVF treatment due to polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). Is there anything to assist?
