My philosophy

Leyanne focuses on participation and not deprivation.

As soon as clients go down a pathway of “dieting” it leads to deprivation which is not sustainable nor a healthy habit. Leyanne’s goal is to assist clients in moving away from seeking perfection and learning to participate in all aspects of health.

My philosophy follows a few key guidelines:

  • Allowing food in response to hunger signals and not trying to overcome hunger to lose weight;
  • Permission to eat any food at any time and not picking food options based off a list of allowed foods;
  • Not classifying foods into positive or negative categories, such as good and bad or clean and junk foods and not assigning foods into categories where one category is positive and the other in negative;
